Fullerton Roofing’s proprietary estimator
Meet Roof Range™
Your roof, measured from above and shaped by you, the homeowner, who knows it best.
- Eyes in the sky: High-resolution aerial imagery and official building outlines from Connecticut's public records show the true footprint of your home.
- The homeowner's knowledge: You tell us about your unique property, like your roof's style, how steep it feels, its overhangs, dormers, valleys, skylights and solar panels.
- A roofer's judgment: Our pitch and allowance formulas turn the footprint and your answers into a realistic range of roofing squares, the same unit a roofer uses to order material.
How Roof Range works
Roof Range™ is Fullerton Roofing's proprietary estimating system, built so homeowners can size up their own roof from the kitchen table, with no ladder, no salesman in the driveway and no guesswork.
What makes it ours: Plenty of tools can pull a picture of a house. What sets Roof Range™ apart is how it brings three things together:
No single piece is the secret. The combination is, and that blend of measurement, homeowner input and roofing know-how is what makes Roof Range™ exclusive to Fullerton Roofing.
What you get: An honest range, not a sales pitch. Every Roof Range™ estimate gets its own Roof Range code, so you can pull it back up anytime or mention it when you call, and we'll pick up right where you left off.
Fine print: Roof Range™ produces a planning estimate, not a quote. Final pricing is set after an on-site inspection of access, layers, slope, decking and condition.
Building outlines can be incomplete or inaccurate and are building footprints, not roof edges. Pitch and allowances are homeowner-selected planning assumptions, not measurements from the imagery. An on-site review confirms the details.

Matched address
Confidence:
The roof usually hangs past the walls by several inches to a foot or more. Building outlines trace the walls, so this adds that edge back. Most homes: +5%; deep overhangs or porches: +10%.
Roofers order extra shingles for cuts at edges, valleys and ridges, plus starter and cap pieces. Simple roofs: about +10%; roofs with many angles: about +15%; very cut-up roofs: about +20%.
Valleys, dormers, hips, chimneys and skylights add cuts and flashing. Choose +5% for a few, +10% for a busy roof. Not sure? Leave it at None and it is checked on site.

Measure it yourself instead
We can’t tie a building outline to this address with enough confidence, so we won’t show a square-footage number. Use the roof-squares calculator with your own measurements.
Sources, privacy & limitations
Your browser loads the single aerial image directly from CT ECO (cteco.uconn.edu), which receives the map area requested. The address itself is sent only to this site’s lookup, which forwards it to OpenStreetMap Nominatim and queries the state parcel and building services by map point.
Roof squares calculator
Use horizontal plan-view dimensions from existing plans or safe ground measurements, then choose a pitch band. Do not use already sloped roof dimensions, because that counts pitch twice. Count each plan rectangle once; never climb for measurements. Results show area only, with no dollar prices.

Homeowner-estimated pitch. Not sure uses an assumed 4–12/12 range; flat, very steep and mixed roofs may fall outside it.
Planning aid only. Waste, valleys, dormers, and tear-off needs are not included.
Public record estimate, not a quote. Roof edges, overhangs, pitch, layers, slope, decking, condition, and access are not observed. Any dollar range is a planning estimate, not a quote; the final price is set after an on-site inspection.

Your Roof Range code appears here when your estimate is saved.
Finish an estimate to save a reference code. No contact details are needed.
The code saves your street, town, estimate and choices on Fullerton’s website so Fullerton can look it up. Keep it private: anyone with the code can view the estimate summary, but never your contact information. Requests save contact details only when you submit the form. No IP address is stored by this estimator. Records have no automatic expiry; contact Fullerton to request removal.
